On October 14, "Bild" reported that RB Leipzig full-back Henrichs walked about 3.5 kilometers to the training center every day in order to recover his Achilles tendon.
Henrichs suffered a serious injury to his Achilles tendon before Christmas last year. Ten months have passed and his return is still far away. Leipzig head coach Ole Werner said when asked by Bild: "He has made progress in the past few weeks, but the situation is that we still need to be patient."
Henrichs will not be able to return to the team lineup until the New Year at the earliest. Recently, in order to further strengthen the repaired Achilles tendon, Henrichs walks from his apartment in the city to the training center every day, a distance of about 3.5 kilometers, even on rainy days.
Heinrichs explained: "This way I can accumulate steps and make the Achilles tendon stronger, and I am in the recovery process, and I want to return to the court. Little things like this will help."
According to "Bild" information, if everything goes according to plan in subsequent personal training, Henrichs may be able to rejoin some team training as soon as the end of November.
