With the new season approaching, Real Madrid's contract renewal negotiations with Vinicius have once again become the focus of media attention. Earlier this summer, media reported that the two sides had reached an oral agreement on a new contract to ensure that Brazilians have a long-term future in the Bernabeu.

However, according to the latest news from Spanish media Cadena SER, due to some key differences between Real Madrid and Vinicius, the smooth progress of the contract renewal negotiations have even jeopardized.
reported that Vinicius's main demand is to completely surpass Mbappe in terms of salary and income and become the number one person in Real Madrid. The club considers this requirement very ridiculous, especially after the Brazilian had just experienced an extremely dull season, and his condition was very doubtful.
In contrast, after a brief trough in Mbappe's first season at the Bernabeu, he scored a lot of goals and successfully won the European Golden Boot Award.
Bernabeu's top leaders are therefore unwilling to provide Vinicius with the same salary as Mbappe, and believe they still have time to reschedule negotiations, after all, the Brazilian's contract will not expire until 2026.
On the other hand, Vinicius does not seem to be satisfied with the so-called second-highest-paid title, although Real Madrid has provided it with an opportunity to improve its performance and thus renegotiate the terms of the contract.
It is reported that if the two sides fail to reach an agreement this summer, Real Madrid is likely to be open to the approval of the sale of Vinicius, especially if Saudi Arabia offers a offer worth up to 350 million euros.
