The Sun Exclusive: Real Madrid believe Gueye wants to play brother football with Bellin/Arnold next year

Hupu reported on October 31 that The Sun’s British reporter Charlie Wyett exclusively reported that Real Madrid is confident that Mark Gueye will be exempted from signing next summer.

The La Liga giants believe Gueye is more inclined to join Real Madrid after the World Cup, joining his England teammates Jude Bellingham and Trent Alexander-Arnold in the Spanish capital.

The 25-year-old Crystal Palace captain Gueye failed to join Liverpool on the transfer deadline in September because Crystal Palace failed to find a suitable replacement.

Bayern Munich has also joined Real Madrid, Liverpool and Barcelona in vying for the centre-back.

With Liverpool struggling this season, they hope to bring in a strong defender in January - but Gueye is not interested in a mid-season transfer.

The Sun disclosed as early as May that Real Madrid intended to bring Guey to the Bernabeu. Since there is no transfer fee, Guey can demand a high salary.

Guey's contract will expire at the end of this season, and he can formally negotiate with overseas clubs starting in early January.

Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl has confirmed that the club is "examining" the central defender position and looking for reinforcements.

Crystal Palace coach Oliver Glasner has previously confirmed that Gueye will leave the team when his contract expires. The Austrian coach said: "Mark has told us that he will not renew his contract, so he will leave next year."

The 15-time Champions League winner knows the importance of signing a top central defender, because 33-year-old Alaba and 32-year-old Rudiger are both nearing the end of their careers.

Guey will have to compete with Militao and former Bournemouth player Dean Huizen for the starting center back position in Madrid.
