Official: Dorbery returns to Ajax and signs until 2029

Hupu September 3rd News Ajax Club officially announced that it had reached an agreement with Anderlecht's Danish striker Caspar Dorbery that the Danish international will return to Amsterdam, and the two sides signed a long-term contract until June 30, 2029.

Dorbery joined Ajax from Silkburg in the summer of 2015 and made her first-team debut against Thessaloniki on July 26, 2016. During his first time with Ajax, he made 119 appearances, scored 45 goals, and won three trophies with the team in 2019, the Dutch Cup, the Dutch Cup and the John Cruyff Shield.

After leaving Amsterdam in 2019, Dorbery joined Ligue 1 Nice and then loaned to Sevilla and Hoffenheim. In July 2023, he officially transferred to Anderlecht.

Ajax football director Alex Cross said in the official announcement: "Caspar has returned to the familiar place. He knows Ajax and the club knows his abilities. For us, he is fully in line with the existing lineup and can make the front line stronger and more diverse in many competitions. We are glad that he chose Ajax again and look forward to his contribution in the next few seasons."

Dorbery's return has allowed Ajax fans to see the former forward hope star re-dressed in the red and white jerseys.
