August 18th Spurs officially announced that the club has renewed a long contract with Argentine central defender Romero. According to several reporters, Romero's new contract will last until 2029.

We are pleased to announce that Christian Romero has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
The Argentine international initially joined the club on loan from Serie A team Atalanta for one season in August 2021, before officially transferring the following year.
Earlier this month, Romero was appointed captain of the team by Thomas Frank. So far, the 27-year-old has made 126 appearances in Tottenham's jersey and scored 8 goals.
