Manchester City s departure signal? Guardiola s Club World Cup is hidden in Gallish s doubts

The market value suffered a heavy blow, and Jack Gallish cast a shadow on Manchester City's prospects. The England Wing had a frustrating year in the just-concluded season, with Manchester City performing overall in a downturn, while Gralish's performance was equally unsatisfactory, earning only 21% of the playing time in all games and contributing only three goals in 32 appearances. What is even more noticeable is that in the upcoming club World Cup, the 29-year-old Gallish failed to make it to Manchester City's roster, a decision that seems to indicate that his transfer window is about to open.
According to the Telegraph, during the events held in the United States from June 14 to July 13, Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola did not include Gralish on the list of the campaign. Manchester City has fierce competition on the wing, with Jérémy Doku, Phil Foden, Bernardo Silva and Savigno having the upper hand, and even young players Claudio Echeverri and Oscar Bobb have gained more opportunities than the England international.
With the opening of the summer transfer window, it is unknown whether Gallish can gain more playing time next season, or whether it may seek a transfer before the 2026 World Cup. Not selected by the club's World Cup roster, perhaps the first signal that Guardiola no longer regards it as part of its future plan. Although Gralish's contract with Manchester City does not expire until 2027, Manchester City may find it difficult to expect to recover nearly 117 million euros in the transfer market.
In the past year, Gallish's market value plummeted from 60 million euros to 28 million euros, an astonishing decline compared to the peak of 100 million euros after the transfer in 2021. Recently, there have been rumors of an English star having sex with Everton, Arsenal and Tottenham, and transfer rumors have spread.
It is worth noting that Manchester City has already returned on loan in the 2025/26 roster, which undoubtedly intensifies the competitive pressure within the team.
