Arsenal signs this summer and is expected to line up two starting lineups

In order to end the Premier League championship drought since 2004, Arsenal's moves in the transfer market this summer are very vigorous. The team is expected to invest nearly £300 million in large-scale signings, aiming to comprehensively improve the strength of the lineup.

Under the leadership of coach Arteta, Arsenal has ranked second in the Premier League for three consecutive seasons, and the team has not been able to compete in any major event trophy since 2020. However, with the advancement of a series of heavy signings this summer, the 2025/26 season may become a turning point for Arsenal. What is particularly worth noting is that the problem of the lack of stable scoring points in the forward center position that has plagued the team for a long time is finally expected to be completely solved.

Since taking over Emery as the leader of the Seal in December 2019, Arteta has never introduced a real official center. Gabriel Jesus mainly played as a winger during Manchester City. After joining Arsenal in 2022, he was transformed into a single arrow; and Havertz originally joined as an offensive midfielder, and then gradually transformed into a frontcourt fulcrum.

Now, according to talkSPORT, Arsenal seems to have finally locked in the "No. 9 player" they are looking for - Swedish striker Tzekelish, who plays for Portugal Sports, will join soon. It is reported that the Gunners are preparing to sign the efficient shooter for up to £69 million.

At the same time, Arsenal is also actively strengthening in other positions. Last Sunday, the club officially announced the signing of Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, with a transfer fee of £55 million. This is the second signing announced by the Gunners this summer, after they signed goalkeeper Kepa from Chelsea for £5 million.

In addition, Brentford captain Christian Nolgo is also close to joining, with a transfer fee of £15 million, and he will compete with Zubimendi in the midfield. On the back line, Arsenal also targeted Valencia star Christian Moscarra, viewing him as a potential successor to William Saliba, with the central defender worth about £17 million.

On the offensive end, in addition to Zhekelais, Arsenal is also eyeing Crystal Palace winger Ebe Eze. Compared to pursuing Real Madrid striker Rodrigo, Eze is considered a more affordable option. The player, who has a £68 million termination clause, has negotiated with the Gunners, and he is eager to return to the club that once eliminated him from the academy in 2011.

Meanwhile, Arsenal has allegedly agreed with Chelsea winger Noni Maduaike on personal terms. The England international is capable of playing both sides. The Blues are expected to have a psychological price of about £60 million for him.

If all the above trades are finally settled, Arsenal's transfer spending this season will reach an astonishing £289 million. At that time, the Gunners are expected to form two sets of almost equally powerful starting lineups:

first team main lineup prediction (opening game against Manchester United)

goalkeeper: David Raya

defenders: Julian Timber, Gabriel, Saliba, Myers Lewis-Skelly

Midfielders: Zubimendy, Odgao, Declan Rice

Forwards: Saka, Ed. Bi Eze and Zhekelais

The second lineup, Goalkeeper: Kepa defender: Karfiori, Ben White, Saliba, Gabriel Midfielder: Nolgo, Havertz, Eze

Forwards: Maduaike, Martineli, Zhekelais

If Zhekelais can join successfully, he will undoubtedly become the core figure in Arsenal's forward line in the new season. He made 102 appearances in Portugal Sports, scoring 97 goals, and his efficiency was amazing.
