WTT World Table Tennis Federation Macau Championship ended on September 14. The Chinese team won the men's singles and women's singles championships, and even won the women's singles semi-finals. Wang Chuqin won the men's singles championship, while Sun Yingsha and Wang Manyu won the women's singles championship and runner-up respectively. The Chinese team has gained something in this competition, but there are also regrets, especially the men's team, where the shortcomings in echelon construction are still prominent. In the women's singles, the Chinese team once again won the semi-finals. Sun Yingsha, Wang Manyu, Chen Xingtong and Kuaiman helped the Chinese team secure the championship early, demonstrating the strong dominance of the Chinese women's team. Sun Yingsha and Wang Manyu, who won the first and second place, continued their good competitive state. Sun Yingsha defeated Welsh player Hershey, Romanian player Szokos, Puerto Rico player Diaz, and teammate Kuaiman, and met with Wang Manyu in the final. Wang Manyu's first round opponent withdrew from the competition due to injury, and then defeated Japanese player Shina Hayata, Chinese Macau player Zhu Yuling, and teammate Chen Xingtong to advance to the finals. Sun Yingsha and Wang Manyu contributed a wonderful final showdown. The two fought for 7 games, and Sun Yingsha narrowly won and successfully defended her title.
In previous games, Japanese teams often occupied multiple seats in the quarterfinals. However, only one of the Japanese teams with 4 players in this game entered the quarterfinals. The sixth-ranked world leader, Zhang Ben Mika is currently the highest-ranked player in the world of the Japanese women's team. Zhang Ben Mika loses to his teammate Otoshi Satsuki in the 1/8 finals, and Otoshi Satsuki is also the only Japanese player in the quarter-finals. She stops losing to Kuaiman in the quarter-finals. Kuaiman also blocked Ito Mima from the quarterfinals. Shina Hayata lost to Wang Manyu in the 1/8 final, but she gradually recovered and created a lot of difficulties for Wang Manyu. The other three seats in the quarterfinals were won by Chinese and Macau players Zhu Yuling, German players Han Ying, and Puerto Rican players Diaz. Diaz's performance is remarkable. She defeated Austrian player Polkanova and Chinese player Wang Yidi one after another, and also brought a certain impact to Sun Yingsha in the quarter-finals. Han Ying defeated the young Chinese table tennis player Chen Yi in the 1/8 final. Zhu Yuling blocks Brazilian player Bruna, who is in a strong upward momentum recently, from the quarterfinals. The men's singles competition is still in a stalemate. A total of 6 Chinese teams participated in the competition. Unfortunately, in the quarterfinals, there were only Wang Chuqin and Lin Shidong. In the quarterfinals, only Wang Chuqin was left, and he still failed to form a group advantage. Young players must grow and improve as soon as possible. Wang Chuqin defeated Japanese player Hirokawa Matsushima, Danish player Grote, Chinese Taipei player Lin Yunru, South Korean player Zhang Yuzhen, and Brazilian player Hugo Calderano to win the championship. Lin Shidong, who reached the quarterfinals, defeated Chinese Taipei player Gao Chengrui and Korean player Wu Shicheng. Unfortunately, he lost 3-4 in the quarter-finals with Danish player Linde and missed the semi-finals. The ability to win the finals needs to be strengthened. Xue Fei defeated Japanese player Zha Ben-Tsai in the first round, but lost to Zhang Yuzhen, who finally entered the semi-finals in the second round, and failed to go further.
Hugo Calderano continued his good competitive state in this game, fighting all the way to the finals, and also posed a certain threat to Wang Chuqin. He is still one of the important opponents that the Chinese team cannot be underestimated. Lin De, 26, entered the semi-finals. In the first round, he dropped Slovenian player Jochik, and then defeated two Chinese players Chen Yuanyu and Lin Shidong in succession. Lin De defeated Wang Chuqin in the Chinese Grand Slam last year. Since then, he has entered the field of vision more, and he has also performed well in some recent events. He won the men's singles championship in the regular challenge Lagos in July.
Judging from this competition, the world's men's table tennis world is still competing for many heroes, and the Chinese team's opponents still have the strength and courage to compete with Chinese players.
