TA: Saudi top executives will make a final decision on the Isaac incident; Newcastle is considering loaning forward

Isaac incident

Before the loss to Liverpool, a board-level delegation visited Isaac's home west of Newcastle.

Club minority shareholder Jamie Ruben and PIF's delegation, including club board member Jacob Solis, attended talks with the 25-year-old Swedish international. The results of the negotiations have not been disclosed, and Howe insists that he is unaware of them, even if the coach admits that he hopes to find a solution anyway.

There is no sign that Isaac's position has softened, or that he plans to resume training before the transfer window closes on Monday night UK time.

Liverpool still needs to prove its offer, but chairman Al Rumayan will eventually determine Isaac's fate: whether the stubborn attitude of the player can be tolerated after the deadline; whether selling Isaac and having Howe lack an attacker by at least next January is the best choice; and whether Newcastle's tough stance can last.

If Al Rumayan makes a decisive decision, his ruling will be the final decision and will not be changed.

Midfielder

Due to the injury of Jolinton and Tonali, Newcastle is considering whether to buy another midfielder. The transfer of forwards, Joan Visa, remains pending, although some at St. James Stadium see the deal unlikely (and never likely) progress.

Last Wednesday, Brentford rejected a £35 million offer, and an additional £5 million that could be paid, with the additional conditions described as "hard to achieve". Newcastle United did not raise its offer.

Instead, they formally expressed their interest in Jorgen Strand Larson. Newcastle United made a £50 million offer on Monday after watching the Norwegian international for more than a month, but was rejected by Wolves.

Wolves insisted that the 25-year-old was not a sell-off, but Newcastle United felt encouraged during the negotiations and decided to make an offer.

They still believe Strand Larson wants to join, and the Wolves may agree to sell, so their pursuit continues. However, given the shocking first bid of Newcastle United, it remains to be seen how much they are willing to improve financially. If the Wolves let Strand Larson go, they certainly hope to find a replacement.

As both deals are in doubt, Newcastle United continues to explore other options, and although the center is scarce, the market is inflationary and expensive.

Chelsea's Nicholas Jackson, Paris Saint-Germain's Gonzalo Ramos, Porto's Samu Agjova and Atletico Madrid's Alexander Sollot have all been discussed.

Newcastle United is increasingly considering whether to try to get a striker on loan if Visa or Strand Larson fails to join, or choose a loan method that includes a buyout clause as a stopgap measure.
