Barcelona equals Messi s goalscoring record despite losing to PSG

Barcelona must recognize Paris Saint-Germain's advantage in the Champions League resumé. The game was held at the stadium in the early morning of Thursday (October 2, 2025).

Ferran Torres opened up the team with a quick goal from the beginning of the game. This goal also made Barcelona create a new history in European competitions.

Torres scored in the 19th minute with a wonderful combination of Lamin Yamal and Marcus Rashford. Torres's shot successfully defeated Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Lucas Schevalier.

Torres called on Barcelona to remain calm

Ferran Torres asked his teammates not to be too obsessed with the defeat against Paris Saint-Germain. He said the loss was part of a long journey this season.

"The match was going very fiercely and we couldn't control the game as expected. We still had a lot of games to go, which is not an excuse, but we had to focus on the weekends," he told DAZN.

Torres believes Barcelona's performance in the first 30 minutes is quite promising. He believes that the team will be able to maintain this level more stably over time.

"End of the day, there will definitely be some failures in a season, but there is no need to be overdramatic. Now is the time to see what went wrong and fix it," Torres added.
