Post: Brentford signs Vatarada deal for £42m, paving the way for Visa to leave

5:47pm, 16 August 2025Football

August 16th According to the Daily Mail, Brentford has agreed in principle to introduce winger Ouatara from Bournemouth for a total price of 42 million pounds. The Burkina Faso international underwent a medical examination today and will become a member of the "Little Bees". Ouattara's arrival may pave the way for Visa to leave the team, and Newcastle is the latter's most likely next home.

Ouattara's contract with Bournemouth has expired for three years, but he clearly expressed his desire to leave. Bournemouth has no choice but to let the highly praised winger go for a base transfer fee of £37m plus a floating fee of £5m. Bournemouth is looking for a replacement and has Leverkusen’s Armin Adeley as one of its main goals.

Brentford hopes to sell Visa for about £40 million, and his contract with the Bee expires only one year, but the club has the right to renew the contract for one year to 2027. Last season, Visa scored 19 goals and contributed 5 assists in the league. He hopes to join Newcastle, so personal terms are not expected to be a problem, and Newcastle is very interested in the 28-year-old striker.

Newcastle is still looking for another striker, although they have already taken a fancy to Visa. At present, Isaac's future is still uncertain. Visa missed most of the preseason after leaving Portugal training camp on July 21. He resumed training after meeting with head coach Keith Andrews last week.
