Manchester United legend tells Amorin to consider firing the star and gives three alternatives

Harry Maguire may be abandoned by Ruben Amorin

Manchester United legend Gary Pallister suggests that Ruben Amorin should consider giving up the UEFA Cup hero, because he may not be the best player in any position he can do.

Amorin has seven centre-backs under Manchester United, currently including Joni Evans and Victor Lindelof, as well as Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez, Aiden Haven, Mattes de Ligt and Lenny Yoro.

However, the first two players will be free transfers in the summer – Evans’ departure has been confirmed – so the roster has been reduced to five.

Among these five, Red Devils legend Palist believes that two will enter the lineup next season, and although Maguire is in excellent form, he is not one of them.

"I will let Lisandro Martinez be the left center back. I will let Lenny Yoro be the right center back because he is fast and can cover the wing. Then Amorin needs to decide whether to let Harry Maguire or Mattes de Ligt be the right center back," Palister told GIVEMESPORT.

"I think both of them are more suitable to play among threes because I don't think they are fast, but they have a strong reading ability in the game and are very confident in the ball.

"I will choose one of them and then I think I should pay attention to the full-back issue as well. Patrick Dorgo started well, Diogo Dalot had been there for several years and performed well. ”

It seems that it seems a bit cruel to remove Maguire from the lineup. After being stripped of the captain's armband by former coach Eric Tenhager and often placed on the bench by the Dutch, he had to work very hard to get back on the form.

Maguire was particularly heroic in the UEFA Europa League this season. In the quarterfinals, Manchester United was almost eliminated by Lyon, but Maguire's header helped the team complete the reversal and finally won with a total score of 7-6.

He had previously assisted in the second leg Attack Manchester United scored the second goal. In the first leg of the semifinals, the defender showed his winger's strength, breaking through the defensive player twice before accurately passing the ball to Manuel Ugat, who passed the ball to Casemiro, who scored the first goal.

Manchester United won that game 3-0, and Maguire helped set the tone. His rebirth in the frontcourt was so fast that we believe he could compete with Rasmus Hoylund for a position – which would end rumors about his being placed on the backline!
