Azcagota, the famous Spanish coach and former national security technical director, passed away at the age of 72

Hupu reported on November 16 that Javier Azcagota, the former coach of Espanyol, Sevilla, Chilean national team, and Bolivia national team, and former sports director of Beijing Guoan, passed away at the age of 72.
This famous Spanish coach came from the youth training of Athletic Bilbao, but due to injuries and other problems he retired early before being able to complete his first team debut and started his coaching career at the age of 25. During his long coaching career, he served as the coach of many teams such as Espanyol, Valladolid, and Sevilla. He later coached the Bolivia national team and successfully led the team to the 1994 World Cup. He later served as the coach of Yokohama Marinos and Guadalajara, and the director of the Real Madrid International Youth Academy. In 2006, he also served as the sports director of Beijing Guoan.
Regarding the history of Azkagota, Real Madrid officials also specially issued a message to express their condolences.
