In the 4th game of the series, the Lakers lost a good game at the last moment. When they were 1 point behind, James was called for a foul on defense. The latter made both free throws, and the Lakers finally lost 3 points.
After the game, James was very puzzled by the referee's penalty at the critical moment. He believed that his cutting ball belonged to the players. "This kind of action often happens. Don't they always say 'Is the players one'?"
However, from the slow-motion replay, James' cutting ball against Edwards did not touch the ball at all, but hit Edwards' hand firmly, causing the latter to lose the ball.
The big score behind 1-3 does not mean that the Lakers have been eliminated. In NBA history, there have been many cases of 1-3 falling behind and finally reversals. James himself once created one. In the 2016 Finals, James led the Cavaliers to perform a big reversal when they were falling behind 1-3, creating the only miracle in the history of the Finals that he fell behind 1-3.
After asking whether they have the confidence to reverse this round of the series, James said, "Obviously, you won't think about reversing the series. You just need to think about winning the next game, and that's the most important thing."
On May 1, the Lakers will return to their home court to face the Timberwolves. This is their first step toward the reversal, and they undoubtedly need perfect performance.
