Shortly after the Pacers defeated the Cavaliers, James expressed his support on Twitter, and he wrote:

“I want to play the right way, I want to win, which is the most important thing to me, so I believe it’s easy for LeBron to say that people want to play with me—yes, of course, to win, people want to play with me.”

Halliburton also praised the connection between the Pacers and its fans, noting that the team’s growing appeal.

"But I think, in general, we are a team worth watching and cheering for," Halliburton said.

"I think that's why our fans in Indiana love to support this team, and we've made people like you (Part McAfee) no longer used to the Pacers' distance - we brought you back, you know, you're back, a lot of people are going through something like this, it's cool to see that."
