Interesting, Halliburton and Lakers James text each other after the Pacers eliminated the Cavaliers

The Indiana Pacers advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals and eliminated the Cleveland Cavaliers, Tyres Halliburton revealed a text message with LeBron James.
Tyres Halliburton played well in Game 5 of the second round of the playoffs Tuesday night, leading the Indiana Pacers to eliminate the Cleveland Cavaliers 114-105. The All-Star guard made 10 of 15 shots and 5 of 6 three-pointers, scoring 31 points, eight assists, six rebounds, one steal and one block. His efforts won praise from Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James and sparked post-match text exchanges between the two.
In The Pat McPhee Show, Halliburton revealed his interactions with James and reviewed their growing connections during their time with the U.S. National Team.
"The LeBron thing is so cool," Halliburton said. "We texted each other last night. That Olympic experience made me meet a lot of great friends, which is really great, but yes, we're not finished yet, we still have a lot of road to go." Shortly after the Pacers defeated the Cavaliers, James expressed his support on Twitter, and he wrote:
"Haha, you guys!!! Where are the idiots who say he's overrated?!! So quiet. That kid is awesome, and the kind that everyone wants to play with him!" followed by a brain and basketball emoji.

When asked why veterans like James appreciated his style of play, Halliburton pointed out his attitude towards the point guard position.
"I just feel that I may be a dying team in our league," he said. “I feel like a real pass-first point guard. I don’t think this is a very common way of playing now, but I just try to play the game the right way.”
“I want to play the right way, I want to win, which is the most important thing to me, so I believe it’s easy for LeBron to say that people want to play with me—yes, of course, to win, people want to play with me.”
Halliburton also praised the connection between the Pacers and its fans, noting that the team’s growing appeal.
"But I think, in general, we are a team worth watching and cheering for," Halliburton said.
"I think that's why our fans in Indiana love to support this team, and we've made people like you (Part McAfee) no longer used to the Pacers' distance - we brought you back, you know, you're back, a lot of people are going through something like this, it's cool to see that."
With the Cavaliers being eliminated, Indiana advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals for the second straight time. The Pacers are now waiting for the winners of the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics series. The Knicks are currently leading 3-1 with Game 5 set to take place Wednesday night at TD Garden.
