G4 in the second round, the Warriors lost to the Timberwolves 110-117 away, and fell behind 1-3 in the score. After the game, Cole accepted an interview with reporters, and Xiaoba sorted out some of his remarks.

Reporter: What happened in the third section?

Cole: Edwards played in form, we tried to adjust the lineup and sent Kumingga, TJD, Zhu Meng and Butler to try to slow down their offensive, especially to limit Edwards. But obviously it didn't work, they kept scoring, but we couldn't. We lost control of the game in that quarter and the gap was widened. Reporter: What do you think is the biggest problem with defense?

Cole: They made 16 of 34 three-pointers. In the third quarter, our defense was obviously out of touch, which allowed them to get a lot of open spaces. I also think they hit some very difficult shots. They played great and completely suppressed us. We have to bounce back and fly to Minneapolis tomorrow to fight for an extended series.

Reporter: Butler only made 9 shots in this game, and played 26 times. What do you think? Is he not aggressive enough, or did the Timberwolves do something?

Cole: He is indeed not as aggressive as playing, but I haven't seen much offensive space either. Ideally, we can arrange more shooters around him to open up space. But without Curry, we can't do much. We will watch movies to see if we can find more opportunities for him. I believe he will be more aggressive in the fifth game.

Reporter: Podjemsky's shooting is sluggish again. Has he reached the stage where he must hit a key shot?

Kor: Curry's injury changed everything. Without him, everyone's shooting is more difficult because Curry can dismantle the defense and create an offensive rhythm. Now it is more difficult for everyone to take action. But I think Bogem played very hard and we scored 60 points in the first half. We did some good things, but we just failed to keep the whole game.

Reporter: You made 8 of 27 three-pointers tonight, and your shots were also very low. Is your lineup determining the amount of shots?

Cole: Yes. Some of our rotation lineups currently have limited space, so we have to line up like this in order to maintain defensive strength. We know there are not many spaces available. We feel that by pushing the rhythm and creating mistakes, we can create some three-point opportunities in the conversion. But without Curry, the game will change, and we must adapt, and we will not have much three-point shooting.

Q: You watched Edwards' six-week training with the United States last summer. Have you seen his three-point improvement long ago?

Cole: Yes, his three-point shooting has increased significantly this season, about 10 to 11 times per game. He practiced with Curry, Adebayo, Booker and others in the national team's summer training, and he made progress every day. He was already very outstanding, and this improvement was natural. He hit some very difficult three-pointers tonight, such as the goal before the end of the half, which was incredible.

Reporter: Edwards said he trains with Curry in the summer. Have you seen them interact more?

Cole: They practice together every day. During the training of Team USA, it was very interesting to watch world-class players inspire each other. Edwards, Curry, Adebayo, and Booker will practice shooting every day after training. I think this experience has helped Edwards a lot.

Reporter: Regarding Butler, would you make him more aggressive, or do you like his ability to pass and create opportunities?

Cole: I don't need to say more. He has a good understanding of the game and knows when to do what. He has always been very mature and I believe he will be ready for the fifth game.

Reporter: How important is the 30-foot retreat three-pointer that Edwards made at the end of the first half?

Cole: Very critical. We defended well, Payton was very tight, and he also made up for the defense, but he hit the difficult three-pointer - we were powerless.

Reporter: Do you think it is difficult for Moody and Post to enter the rotation because Curry is not here and the pace of the game has changed?

Cole: Yes. After Curry was injured, we must restructure our lineup and arrange a combination of both offense and defense. Today’s game results may prompt us to rethink whether to adjust the rotation in Game 5. In the last 4 minutes we let young players play, they played well and forced the opponent to retain the main force, which is a positive signal.
