Cole: Butler can become the person who pursues the stable situation around Ku. He is full of confidence and never loses control.

May 6th, the Western Conference Semi-finals series between the Warriors and the Timberwolves will begin tomorrow at 9:30 am. Today Cole was interviewed by a reporter, and some of the contents are as follows:

Reporter:

There is a simple question. What did Butler bring to you? And will he become "more Jimmy" when facing his former boss?

Cole:

Jimmy brings us amazing confidence and stability. He fits well with our system because he never makes mistakes, and we used to be a team with a high turnover rate. We have always wanted to have players around Curry and Zhu Meng who can stabilize the situation, such as Iguodala, Livingston and David West.

Jimmy is such a person. So when we need to calm down, he can keep the game steady. His confidence also infected the entire team. It is very important that teammates believe in him and feel his trust in them.

He is a great player and one of the best singles players in the league. At a critical moment in the playoffs, if all the tactics don't work and hand the ball to him, he can create a good opportunity for you.

These traits in him—competitive spirit, confidence, basketball IQ, physical strength—have completely changed us. We got him at a 50% win rate, but since then we have become one of the best teams in the league. So he is a superstar.

As for what he would feel in the face of Minnesota, I don't know very well. The only time we have had about his former team was playing a game in Miami at the beginning of the season and the results were not good. But that shouldn't work for now.

He loves competition, and I know he is looking forward to this series.

Reporter: Will he be more "excited" than usual?

Cole:

What impressed me most about Jimmy was his calmness. He is so competitive, but never gets out of control. This is also one of the reasons why he has few control mistakes and can stabilize the game. But, I believe he will be ready tomorrow.
