May 26th News Recently, former NBA player Michael Beasley talked about his family and his growing environment in the program "Common Denominator Podcast".

He said: "I just don't want to lose my family, nor do I want to go to jail. Because you know, first of all I have to hold back (them). The second thing is that I don't want them to go to jail. The third and most important point is out of fear of being abandoned."

"Like I always say to my friends, like the other day I told my friends that I saw my family on a sinking boat. I looked at them and I watched them, which made me do something I shouldn't do. I know I shouldn't do that, but I was just afraid to leave that boat because it was my only family. It's like There were two devils standing in front of me - either severing relations with their families and living alone in this world; or watching what they do and sinking with them. Unfortunately, I chose to sink with them."

The host then continued to ask: "Considering your special experience, from the environment you grew up to entering the league as the second-tier one, what are you most grateful for now?"

Beasley replied: "It's life. Air."

Michael Beasley was selected by the Miami Heat in the second round in 2008. His NBA career has been up and down due to scandals such as speeding, driving without a license, sexual harassment, and the two arrests for carrying marijuana, which has caused his career performance to fluctuate, going in and out between the CBA and the NBA. He played a total of 609 regular season games, averaging 22.8 minutes per game, scoring 12.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists.
