With debts exceeding 2 billion euros, Barcelona faces bankruptcy crisis

Barcelona is facing a serious financial crisis. The latest financial report showed that their losses reached a record high of 231 million euros.

According to a report by AS, Barcelona's total liabilities have exceeded 4 billion euros, pushing the Catalan giants to the brink of bankruptcy. There is a lack of transparency in the club's finances and debts incurred cannot be repaid in both the short and long term. Barcelona's current debt structure includes more than 2 billion euros in debt triggered by daily operations, as well as a 1.5 billion euro loan obtained from Goldman Sachs Group several years ago. In addition, they also owe 500 million euros in payments to suppliers, player bonuses and wages, and transfer fees.

Although the financial situation is very bad, Barcelona still continues to introduce players, register players, and participate in games as if nothing happened. This creates a confusing situation that can only be explained by the silent and tacit support of governing bodies such as La Liga and UEFA. These institutions should be keeping a close eye on Financial Fair Play (FFP) compliance, but appear to tolerate Barca's situation.

Barcelona can currently only seek room for survival through external financing and complex financial leverage. With debt exceeding the club's market value and the club on the brink of bankruptcy, Barca's future faces serious challenges.
