Western media: Inter Milan does its best to introduce Fabregas

5:44pm, 5 June 2025Football

According to Le As, Inter Milan has contacted Spanish young coach Fabregas. Although the Como club he currently coaches has made it clear in the past few months that he will not let him leave office, the Nerazzurri still hopes to reach an agreement between the two sides.

With Inzaghi Jr. officially confirming that he will transfer to Saudi team Riyadh Crescent, Inter Milan must also begin planning a new chapter. The goal of the club management is very clear: find a young and promising coach, start a new cycle, and inject more innovative and modern football concepts while maintaining the team's high performance in recent years. The most favored candidate at the moment is this former Barcelona midfielder, Fabregas.

Previously, Fabregas expressed his willingness to stay in Cuomo, and the club is also preparing to give him strong support in the transfer market, with the goal of rushing to European qualifications in Serie A. However, the call from Inter Milan is undoubtedly a huge temptation. It is reported that Inter Milan has formally contacted Fabregas and received a positive response. Of course, the final decision depends on how he communicates with his current boss.

In principle, Fabregas is open to this job change, but this does not mean that he will leave Cuomo easily. Previously, Leverkusen also regarded him as his first choice to replace Xavi Alonso, and Roma had considered him, but eventually chose Gasperini. At that time, Cuomo firmly rejected these external invitations. Now, whether their position is loose will become the key to this potential transfer.

However, due to the good relationship between Inter and Cuomo, and Fabregas himself hopes to take the most important step in his career - provided Inter provide a competitive signing budget - this leaves the Nerazzurri still hope.

Of course, Inter Milan is also simultaneously examining other candidates as alternatives. In addition to Dezelby, who has always been popular, two former coaches are also included in the consideration:

One is Zivo, who played for Inter Milan and won the 2010 triple championship with the team. He currently coaches Parma and has successfully helped the team relegate with his outstanding team results; the other is Vieira, who has played for Serie A and has been successful, and his recent performance in Genoa is also impressive.

Among them, Zivo has not yet determined whether he will continue to stay in Parma, while Vieira is close to renewing his contract with Genoa.

Time is tight, and Inter Milan hopes to finalize the new coach as soon as possible, because the Club World Cup is about to start. The club plans to announce the name of the new head coach by this weekend, and their biggest wish is that this person will be Fabregas.
