On June 8, Liverpool officially announced that the team signed 20-year-old Hungarian goalkeeper Armin Peppa from the Hungarian team Puskas Academy. The 20-year-old joined the Reds for £1.5 million after completing a physical examination and signing a contract on Saturday. Page is expected to join Liverpool's U21 team, although he will have the opportunity to train with first-team goalkeeper Alisson Becker and newly signed George Mamaldashvili. Before he joined, Kelleher left Liverpool and became Brentford's main goalkeeper for a transfer fee of £18m.

Despite his young age, Page already has extensive experience. He made 52 appearances in various competitions at Puskas Academy and completed 15 clean sheets. In the 2024/25 season, he made 30 appearances, helping the team finish second in the Hungarian top league. In addition, he has made 5 appearances with the Hungarian U21 team and was nominated as a candidate for the 2025 Golden Boy Award.

Page is Liverpool's second signing in the transfer window this summer, after Jeremy Flynnon has joined the team. Liverpool signed Flynnon from Bayer Leverkusen for £29.5m after Arnold's transfer to Real Madrid, and he signed a five-year contract with the club. Meanwhile, Mamaldashvili officially joined the team last summer but was then loaned back to Valencia for one season. In the new season, he will also join Slott's team, replacing Kellehe who left the team to become the second goalkeeper behind Allison.

With Peppa joining, Liverpool already has two Hungarian players, Sobosloy and Peppa. And this summer, this number is likely to become "3"! Because Liverpool are trying to sign Bournemouth's left-back Kolkerz. Just today, the Hungarian national team officially announced that Kolkz left the Hungarian national team training camp for private reasons and would not participate in a friendly match against Azerbaijan. It is believed to be related to his pending deal to Liverpool from Bournemouth, with parties hoping to avoid any injuries in the final stages of the negotiations.

In addition to Kolkz, Liverpool also negotiated with Leverkusen on a potential deal for Wilz, and they offered a £113 million offer for the midfielder. The offer includes a down payment of £100 million and a bonus of about £13 million, but is still below the asking price of £126.4 million (€150 million) in Leverkusen.
