On May 10, the strategic cooperation signing and public donation ceremony of Shenzhen Luohu District Football Association and Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone Football Association were held at Meiyuan Experimental School, Luohu District, Shenzhen. It is reported that the two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in the fields of youth echelon team construction, brand event creation, football charity promotion, cultural, sports and tourism integration, and jointly promote the coordinated development of football careers in the two places.

Luohu District, Shenzhen City, takes "sports and education integration" as its core strategy, has built a three-dimensional football development system covering youth training, event brand building, and venue facilities upgrades, and has promoted the sustainable and healthy development of youth football. It has become a benchmark area for the high-quality development of football in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. As of the end of 2024, the district has 29 national and 20 provincial campus football specialty schools (kindergartens), with a campus football promotion coverage rate of 64%. The first campus football development mechanism jointly led by the "Education Bureau + Culture and Sports Bureau" is established, a four-level echelon training system for "Kindergarten-primary-junior high school" is established, and a "campus-to-professional" dual-track promotion channel is formed. A group of players are selected for the Chinese middle school student selection team or enter the Chinese U series national team.

This strategic cooperation highlights key points and is based on the normal and long-term effect. In addition to jointly building multi-level youth training echelons such as U10, U11, U12, and establishing a mechanism for mutual visits and exchanges between coaches, the signing parties will also create the "Luowu Cup" Youth Football Internal League to achieve two-way annual events, and regularly participate in high-level youth competitions at home and abroad, or establish a friendly match mechanism with strong youth training teams abroad. In terms of youth training support and talent training, we will jointly launch the long-term plan of the "Silk Road Football Charity Tour" to achieve technical experience sharing and talent training through the selection of players for concentrated training, competitions and cultural exchanges.

Ying Jun, director of the Football Training Center of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, said that the signing will help promote multi-level cooperation such as the integration of football, culture and tourism between the two places, and bring more opportunities for the development of football careers in the two places.

Zhou Suian, vice chairman of the Guangdong Football Association, said that this cooperation is an innovative practice to implement the country's collaborative deployment between the east and west, and will effectively promote the cross-regional flow of football resources.

According to Xia Gang, president of Luohu District Football Association, a football coach employment channel and a football player echelon transmission and exchange mechanism will be established in the next three years to cultivate more excellent football workers for Xinjiang, and to achieve normalized technical exchanges between young players in the two places through the "cloud training" platform. "At present, the association has formulated a 'five one' project, namely a joint training camp, a brand event, a round of coaching mutual dispatch, a cultural visit, and a batch of equipment donations to ensure the long-term implementation of cooperation." At the charity donation ceremony, representatives from the Orange Lion Sports Lanchen Star Football Club and the Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone Football Association jointly took the stage. The materials donated this time include competition uniforms, training equipment, etc. This batch of professional football equipment will be used at the grassroots level of Xinjiang football, focusing on supporting the training of ethnic minority youth players.
