According to the news revealed by the local British media "The Sun", Nottingham Forest wrote a letter to UEFA to put pressure on the one hand, expressing concerns about whether Crystal Palace can qualify for the European Championship, and on the other hand, it wants to know as soon as possible which level of the European Championship they can participate in.
Crystal Palace won the FA Cup historic last season and could have been qualified for the UEFA Cup next season, but now due to ownership issues, the UEFA Cup position may be deprived; if everything is implemented, Nottingham Forest, which ranks 7th in the Premier League, will replace Crystal Palace in the UEFA Cup, and the team's qualifying for the UEFA Cup will be handed over to Brighton, who is ranked 8th in the Premier League standings.
Nottingham Forest hopes that UEFA will figure things out as soon as possible, so he wrote to UEFA, hoping to get a reply as soon as possible to determine which European tournament they will prepare for next. According to the Sun, UEFA UEFA needs to review the equity of the owner of Crystal Palace shareholder Tesda, whether there is any conflict of interest with the shares of another team he holds, Lyon, and resulting in violations. The decision will not be announced until the 27th of this month at the earliest.
According to UEFA UEFA regulations, two teams under the same group cannot participate in the same European event, and Nottingham Forest itself seems to have equity problems. The boss Evanellos Marinakis also holds an equity stake in the Greek Basp team Olympiacos, but in May he provided documents to the British Company Registration Office, giving up his decision-making power in Nottingham Forest and handing over the equity to another company as custody to facilitate Nottingham Forest to successfully compete in the European Championship.
