Mirror: Manchester United and Tottenham fans face strike danger and may suffer losses

May 16th The Mirror reported that Manchester United and Tottenham fans' Europa League finals were in danger of strike.

Fans heading to the UEFA Cup final are facing traffic chaos caused by airport strikes, with potential flight delays and cancellations likely causing Tottenham and Manchester United fans to lose hundreds of pounds.

The strike will affect flights from Gatwick Airport to Bilbao next Tuesday and Wednesday, with fuel fillers at Redline Petroleum Services Ltd. deciding to strike after the terms of new work breakdown. Although EasyJet is still selling tickets from Gatwick to Bilbao for more than £900, passengers cannot receive compensation even if they encounter delays or cancellations, as this is considered a special situation.

Redline's Unite union members went on strike from Friday to 20 May 16 and 23 to 27 after they rejected the company's new compensation package, the low-cost airline is one of the company's main customers.

Fans may also experience delays due to the backlog caused by the strike, who have spent thousands of pounds on the UEFA Civil War in England. Spurs and Manchester United fans have paid huge fees for flights, transportation and accommodation, but the strike puts them at risk of traffic chaos and financial losses.

Meanwhile, strikes by RedHandling employees at Gatwick Airport have been suspended for delays in pension payments and missed payment plans to allow members to vote on new job terms. More than 100 Unite members who were scheduled to strike this weekend have now suspended operations, and these employees are responsible for luggage handling, check-in and flight dispatch.

District official Ben Davis said: "RedHandling has returned to negotiations and proposed improvements, so Unite suspended the strike so that members can vote on the proposal."

It is understood that EasyJet is convinced that the contingency plan is in place and that the flight schedule will not be affected.
