June 29th, Klopp recently accepted an interview with Le Monde, in which he talked about his current relationship with Liverpool.
Last year, Dutchman Slot took over Klopp's coach and became Liverpool's new coach. At first, no one was optimistic about Liverpool this season, but in the end they won the Premier League championship trophy.
When asked how he thought about it, Klopp said: "To be honest, when the team started so well under him, as an individual, I asked myself - does this situation make me happy? The answer is yes, it is really great and comforting me."
After leaving, Klopp still maintained a good relationship with Liverpool, and at the end of the season he returned to Liverpool to participate in the Foundation event. "We maintained a very good connection, and some players would send me messages from time to time, or occasionally send me photos of vacation.
"I became friends with the club's boss, and I would occasionally communicate with Slot, but we only met once, and he was happy with my greetings at the time. ”
" Recently, I returned to Liverpool as the Liverpool Foundation ambassador, and it feels great to see everyone again. But I’m also very grateful that I didn’t have to work hard there every day. Those years are extremely beautiful, but they have been turned over - like a colorful bouquet of memories, 99% of which are nostalgic. ”
