First coaching stick! Official: Legendary goalkeeper Renna serves as head coach of Villarreal U19

June 2 Villarreal officially announced that the club's legendary goalkeeper Reina will serve as U19 head coach. Reiner announced his retirement last month and now he will officially start his coaching career.
Reina transferred from Barcelona to Villarreal at the age of 20 and quickly became a key player of the team. In the 2002-2005 season, he helped the team win the International Toto Cup twice and made historic first appearance in the Champions League.
After having a brilliant career at top European clubs like Liverpool and Bayern, Reina returned to Villarreal in 2022-23 and continued to play for the team the following season. His total number of appearances in Villarreal reached 191. Throughout his career, he has played in more than 1,000 games.
