September 2nd The Croatian national team will gather in Zagreb today to prepare for the match against the Faroe Islands and Montenegro. Before the game, head coach Dalic talked about Modric and Luka Susic at a press conference.

Dalic said: "We want to get six points, so we must be fully prepared. Gvadior and Yulanovic are unable to participate in training due to injuries. In addition, we will decide whether to recruit Ivan Smosic based on Stanisic's situation."

When asked whether they are satisfied with the performance of some players who have changed clubs, Dalich thought it was too early to evaluate it. "I'm glad they found a new club, they are working hard to get back to shape, but it's too early to give the evaluation."

Dalic was not surprised by Modric's adaptation in Milan: "He has a clear goal. Although he is 40 years old, he is still full of energy and fighting spirit and has become the core player of the new team. This makes us very happy."

Talking about why the Royal Society midfielder Luka Susic was not recruited, Dalici emphasized that this is not a punishment. "I never said anyone was punished or excluded. My mission was to lead Croatia into the 2026 World Cup. I respect his family and personal choices, and I respect my decisions."

Speaking of the upcoming match against the Faroe Islands, Dalic said: "It will be a tough away game, played on artificial turf. Although the Faroe Islands lost to the Czech Republic and Montenegro before, they were very tenacious. We need to be patient and strive to get all three points."
