50 million euros? No! Real Madrid s magic operation: 10 million euros can "retrieve" your own youth training beads

Galaxy Battleship Real Madrid once again showed its "smart" side in the transfer market. The club is planning to bring Alvaro Carreras, the former youth training treasure and now playing for Benfica, back to the Bernabeu, but facing the termination fee clause of up to 50 million euros in his contract, Real Madrid's attitude is: No one son will be given more! Because they hold a "trump card" repurchase right that costs only 10 million euros.
Let's look at this transaction that can be called "magical operation". Carreras was born in Real Madrid's Lafabrica youth training camp and transferred to Manchester United in 2020. This summer, Benfica spent 6 million euros to buy it out permanently. However, when Carreras transferred from Manchester United to Benfica, Real Madrid, as its parent team, added a special clause to the contract in a very forward-looking manner - that is, Real Madrid has the right to buy it back at a fixed price of 10 million euros in the future.
Carreras, who is only 21 years old, performed well in the Portuguese Super League this season. His excellent offensive and defensive ability made Real Madrid senior executives convince that this child has the strength to return to the team and compete for the main position.
However, this seemingly profitable transaction has the biggest variable - Alfonso Davis. This Bayern's "flying wing" has always been Real Madrid's ultimate dream in the left-back position. If Real Madrid can successfully introduce Davis this summer, Carreras's return journey may end.
In addition, the stay and departure of existing left-backs Mendy and Fran Garcia in Real Madrid have also made the situation more complicated. Rumors of Mendy leaving the team are rampant, and once Davis and another new player join, Fran Garcia's position in the team will be in danger.
What's more interesting is that Real Madrid's "reserve" in the left-back position is much more than that. They also have a 8 million euro repurchase right and a 50% second transfer share for Gutierrez, another youth training player who shined in Girona this season. This means that Real Madrid has multiple "baby price" options to upgrade the left corridor.
To sum up, Real Madrid is currently playing a "waiting game" calmly. They held many good cards and ignored the sky-high termination fee that Benfica had set for Carreras. Whether the 10 million buyback clause will eventually be activated will largely depend on the final outcome of the annual transfer drama "Where will Alfonso Davis go?"
