Hupu News on October 26 Recently, Clippers guard Chris Paul accepted an exclusive interview with reporter MarcJSpears.
Going back to your debut day, when you stood in front of the Clippers season ticket holders, what made you express that emotion?
What makes me most emotional is that I recall the six years I played here before and the ups and downs of that time. Guys around the league, they may or may not say it, but there are teams or organizations where some of the best experiences you have have never really leave you. You do go to other teams and get different experiences and stuff like that. But through the people who were with the Clippers and my family that's still in Los Angeles, I still have connections to the Clippers even though I've been away for many years.
So, seeing the appreciation from the fans, seeing the family coming, and understanding the meaning of this season, I have really mixed emotions. I was very surprised. I knew it was going to be a busy day, with press conferences and stuff like that, but I didn't know so many people were going to come. And I'm always busy. So, after the press conference that day, I flew to Las Vegas for a basketball camp. Many times, you are always too busy to devote yourself to something. I think in that moment, I truly sat there and appreciated and cherished the time I spent here.
