May 25th News Recently, James' agent Rich Paul talked about rumors that James wanted to trade Westbrook on the "Rich Eisen Show" podcast.
Ritchie Paul said: "This statement (James wants to trade Westbrook) is wrong, and I can say that because I've experienced it in person. When considering this and that statement, people often ignore the impact it has on the players off the court, which hurts friendships and affects the relationship between teammates because they're like, 'Hey, I might be traded, because you want me to get out of here,' right?"
"It's not true. When someone comes to you and asks you what you think of someone, you might say 'Well, that's right,' or you don't want to comment at all. But they ask again and again until you say 'Okay, since you think this is the best option, go ahead and do it. It's not me making a decision, I just agree with you. The team is not mine, and I'm not a part of the management.' "
" Obviously, he did not control the team because something happened but he knew nothing. So how did he manage the team? Regarding Westbrook's deal, he was not involved in the decision, although the outside world tried to convince people that it was the decision he made. In fact, the deal was not made by him."
