Lakers celebrity Jabbar talked about James in an interview.
Jabbar did not deny James' achievements. He said: "James (who has achieved his current achievements) deserves it, and he has worked hard for it."
Then Jabbar said that he never focused on chasing personal records. For him, he played to compete for the championship with the Lakers: "I play not to worry about the record. I want to lead the team to win the championship. I am very lucky to be a member of the championship team six times and twice elected to the Finals. MVP, I am very satisfied with this."
James insisted in an interview a few years ago that he and Jabbar had a good relationship. Before, James scored more than Jabbar's 38,387 points and successfully crowned the NBA's regular season scoring champion, Jabbar stood up and applauded. However, this action aroused heated discussions among fans at the time. It felt that it was not entirely sincere, but more like a form of going through the form, and it was the "torch inheritance" moment created by the NBA. Jabbar later made his own statement, which also confirmed that he did have this feeling.
