American News: The Knicks are continuing to pay attention to Antetokounmpo s movements

According to the latest report by James L. Edwards III, if Antetokounmpo makes a trade request to the Bucks, the Knicks are likely to chase the superstar strongly, and they have prepared foreshadowing for the big deal.
James Edwards III wrote in its latest report: "As far as I know, the Knicks' president of basketball operations, Leon Rose and his team have been paying close attention to Antetokounmpo's movements in the Bucks, and even before the offseason began. Many people in the league believe that the Knicks have been waiting for the opportunity to "Thunting Stars". Although there is no such opportunity yet, if the conditions are right, I fully believe they will take action immediately."
The Knicks recently reached a four-year early contract renewal with small forward Mikal Bridges for a total of $150 million. He can still be traded next season due to contract rules, which is obviously a foreshadowing in Edwards' opinion. If the Bucks are willing to trade Antetokounmpo, they will likely use Bridges as one of the main bargaining chips.
Edwards pointed out: "I don't think New York's choice to complete at this point in time is just a coincidence. Antetokounmpo's situation is pending (and still in a subtle state), but some of the sources I have come into contact with are quite convinced that Antetokounmpo will continue to play for the Bucks next season. I also don't think it's a coincidence that Bridges will complete the contract renewal before August 6."
"According to the NBA regulations, a player cannot be traded within six months after signing an early contract renewal. If Bridges signs on or after August 6, he will not be sent away before the February trading deadline. Because the deadline has exceeded six months later. And signing in advance now means that the Knicks retains the flexibility to adjust the transaction deadline. Once Antetokounmpo submits a transaction application, Bridges can become a timely bargaining chip. "
Then, he added: "I don't think the Knicks are determined to trade Bridges, but to maintain the flexibility of lineup operations in possible major opportunities, such as Antetokounmpo is willing to leave the team."
Antetokounmpo's current contract is a three-year, $175 million renewal signed in October 2023, with a salary of $54.1 million next season.
