Manchester United s front line mystery: Spend money to buy "panyaki oil", can Amorin s frontless formation work?

Mr. United's transfer intention reveals more questions than answers

Mr. United's summer has been by no means calm so far. According to The Athletic, key discussions surrounding goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, offensive target Mbeoumo, as well as Rashford, Garnacho and Anthony's future all indicate that the club is trying to return to the top of England football. But under Toutiao signings and tens of millions of pounds, one persistent concern is whether United builds a coherent plan under Amorin, or is it that hastily fills holes when problems arise?

Goalkeeper situation depends on the future of Onana

It is reported that a conversation between Manchester United and Emiliano Martinez representative has been ongoing since January. The Aston Villa's number one goalkeeper has a high rating and is open to transfer Old Trafford, but any progress in the matter seems to be frozen until Onana's future is clear.

"Martinez understands that any pursuit depends on Onana's future." Martinez, who has no intention of transferring to Saudi Arabia, prefers Manchester United or other top European teams. Villa has not received direct contact from Manchester United yet, and it is worth remembering that Martinez just renewed his contract until 2029 last summer.

Meanwhile, Onana seems content with the status quo. While a firm offer may change that, at present, "Manchester United has little move in selling him or spending huge sums of money to buy the goalkeeper." These signs indicate that the goalkeeper's position is stable unless an unexpected offer changes the situation. But the fact that Manchester United continues to maintain dialogue with the Martinez team reveals some lingering doubts.

Mbeumo has become the fulcrum of tactics and strategy

As Liam Drapp is no longer an option, Manchester United's pursuit of Mbeumo has been upgraded. A first offer worth £55 million was quickly rejected by Brentford. A subsequent improved offer has been submitted. "On Monday, The Athletic reported that Manchester United submitted a second improvement offer for the Brentford striker, worth more than £60 million."

This is higher than Wolves' asking price for Cunha's £62.5 million, reflecting Manchester United's high attention to Mbeumo. It also shows how desperate they are to strengthen their firepower, even though Mbeumo is not a traditional center. "Part of the reason why Manchester United turned to Mbeumo after missing Liam Drapp is to bring as close as possible to the team to introduce a Premier League goal guarantee."

Mbeumo scored 20 goals last season, which made him fifth in the Premier League scorer list. Most of these goals came from the right, but in his five years at Brentford, he also proved that he could play as a striker, breaking goals from Tottenham, West Ham United, Arsenal and Chelsea while in the middle role.

Manchester United coaching staff believe that Mbeumo and Cunha can create a flexible offensive combination. Coupled with Hoylen, who is still a target in Inter Milan, the team will have attack groups with different styles but lack clear arrows. Amorin's system is often characterized by all-round strikers, but there is a risk that this versatility becomes an euphemism of imbalance. The future of Rashford, Garnacho and Anthony is uncertain

The great cleaning of the lineup is obviously in progress. The most eye-catching name for leaving the team is Rashford. "Rashford said he's 'definitely' hoping to be teammates with Yamal in the future. He said: 'Hope we can see'"

Although no substantial offer has yet to come, Manchester United is exploring the possibility of selling. Barcelona's pursuit of Nico Williams may complicate things, but Rashford is open to going abroad. Loans near the transfer deadline are possible, especially if the market cannot meet the full transfer fee expected by Manchester United.

Ganacho also appeared on the radar of the club in London. Chelsea was interested in him, and he publicly kept in line with Rashford, posting a photo of him wearing the Aston Villa jersey, which further fueled speculation.

Manchester United reportedly priced the Argentine player £70 million. Leverkusen was discouraged by the price. Although Garnacho's Manchester United debut was given by Tenhach and Leverkusen was associated with Tenhach, the Bundesliga team will not seek a deal.

Anthony's future is closest to solving. "Anthony is making the fastest progress in leaving the team, and Real Betis hopes to turn his loan transfer into a permanent transfer." The offensive combination is still unclear

It is obvious that Manchester United want a midfielder with strong athleticism and continues to consider strengthening the offense. Negotiations with Frankfurt on Ekitic and interest in Dzekreish reinforce the fact that signing another No. 9 player is still a realistic option.

But it is hard not to conclude that Manchester United is still seeking a clear direction. Both Mbeumo and Cunya are creative and flexible attackers, but neither can provide the old-fashioned center impact that Manchester United fans still crave. In theory, Hoylund could fill this void, but Amorin's system may not be the best place to leverage his traditional strengths.

Without a strong offensive fulcrum, Manchester United could face the risk of another season of gorgeous offensive but lacking a fatal end. This could be fatal for a club that is still struggling to return to the English elite.

Our view

Old Trafford has regained noise, which is not common in recent summers. The pursuit of Mbewumo showed ambition. Not many players can score 20 goals from the wing starting position in the Premier League, and he has proved himself against top teams, and goals against Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and West Ham say it all. He has speed, body, and most importantly, the mentality that Manchester United needs.

Rumors about Emiliano Martinez also point to smarter signing strategies. He is a World Cup champion, Mr. Big Scene, and will not be bothered by life in the spotlight of Old Trafford. Even if Onana stays, the club has such a conversation that we are preparing for the future.

Granted, Rashford might have left shockingly, but maybe it's time. If his heart is no longer here, let us invest again. Garnacho is a genius, but £70 million? If there is a Chelsea or other team willing to bid, we accept it.

Amorin seems to be building a flexible and smooth system. This summer could be the basis of the modern Manchester United offensive system: fast, interchangeable, and full of energy. If they can take Mbeumo and Cunya at the same time, it will be the firepower of the first four levels.
