Manchester United has difficulty introducing new midfield, Casemiro becomes an obstacle

Manchester United failed to strengthen their midfield strength in the summer transfer window. This is not because of the lack of goals, but because of the situation inside the club.
According to Manchester Evening News, the existence of Casemiro became the main obstacle. The Brazilian midfielder is still in the contract and is receiving a very high salary.
Although he has one season left on his contract, it is difficult for Manchester United to find a club willing to sign him. In fact, four agents have been authorized to find new clubs, but have not yet achieved results.
In addition, Manchester United is subject to the financial fairness bill. They need to cut their wage burden in order to make additional signings.
Casemiro is still a barrier
Casemiro receives about £300,000 per week from Manchester United. As his contract expires next year, selling him becomes the best solution.
To avoid financial losses, Manchester United hopes to obtain at least £15 million from the transfer. However, no club is interested in this price yet.
Casemiro's performance last season was not too impressive, even though he did well in the Europa League. He was out for a month due to injury, which reduced his contribution.
fierce competition in the middle lane
Manchester United currently has five main midfielders. In addition to Casemiro, there are Bruno Fernandez, Kobe Manu, Manuel Ugat and Toby Collier.
Fernandez now plays more often as a midfielder. The newly recruited master Ugath has not shown consistency yet.
Meanwhile, Kobe Menu rejected a new contract early this year. Collier himself has limited experience, as he has only made three appearances at the advanced level.
focus shifts to other locations
Manchester United has released Christian Eriksen in June this year. However, their transfer focus is on the offensive line.
Two offensive players, Cunia and Brian Mbomo, have been signed, with a total cost of up to £133.5 million. Manchester United is still considering introducing a striker. The injury suffered by Andre Onana also caused the goalkeeper's position to enter the repair radar. However, there is currently no plan to sell Onana in a short period of time.
