Yes, it is indeed the case. That's why I'm looking for new challenges. That's why I'm eager to continue playing at a high level.

Because I love football; I am still passionate and motivated about what I do. Maybe I could make an easier choice to go to other less competitive leagues, but that wasn't my way.

This is not my style. When I play football, I want to reach the highest level possible. I stop when I no longer have the ability, but as I said, I feel good, I love the sport, I am passionate and motivated, and that's why I stay here.

What do you hope to bring to Milan?

I want to…I want to do what I have been doing in my career. Playing my football, lend a helping hand when needed, accumulate experience, maintain a winning attitude, and provide help in all aspects when teammates need it.

Why did you choose AC Milan?

The main reason I chose AC Milan is the greatness of this club: it is one of the best teams in the world. This photo (he wore AC Milan sportswear with his parents when he was a child) is a wonderful memory;

It shows how popular AC Milan was at that time, especially in Croatia. I have watched AC Milan's league since I was a child. AC Milan was my favorite team when I was a child, especially because of Zvonimir Boban, who played here: he was my childhood idol.

These are the reasons why I chose AC Milan. That photo is also a wonderful memory. When I first came here to sign a contract, I immediately felt that this club was very special. You can feel the great atmosphere of this club: it won seven Champions League titles, second only to Real Madrid. This says it all. Everything here is at the highest level: people working for the club, fans, stadiums...

Regarding Carlo Ancelotti, he consulted him before transferring to AC Milan:

Before I signed with the Ross and Blacks, I had talked to Ancelotti and he praised AC Milan. Of course, I've known this before, but when someone like Carlo who is both a player and a coach tells you these things, you'll know more about the club and the atmosphere here.

To be honest, this list is very long (laughs). They prefer to let others say I am a legend or not. What I can say is that I am very proud of what I have achieved in football.

Maybe my achievements even exceeded my expectations. That's why I'm happy. I have no choice but to decide whether I am a legend or not; I would rather let others speak for me. But I reiterate that I am very proud and happy for all the achievements I have achieved in my career.

Yes, it is very important for the sports director to come to Croatia to introduce me to AC Milan's plan. This shows how much they care about me and how much they respect me.

For me, it is crucial to take this step and sign AC Milan. Our goal? AC Milan performed poorly last season and ended up in eighth place.

Obviously, we must be ambitious and return to the Champions League; this is the lowest goal. As for me, I came here after winning many trophies at Real Madrid:

I am a person who always desires victory, even in training. That's why I also hope to win the trophy in AC Milan: this is my goal and I will do my best. We need to create a good atmosphere, have a strong lineup, and everything will be easier.
