Intercepting Manchester United? Tottenham Hotspur offers 70 million pounds Mbewumo, players are determined to have a love affair

This summer, Manchester United has been pursuing Brentford striker Mbeumo. But due to a delay in reaching a deal with Brentford, the goal of the player trade has been opened to newly appointed Tottenham coach Thomas Frank, who hopes to reunite with the star at White Hart Lane Stadium.

According to the Mirror, Tottenham has made a new offer for Brentford striker Mbeoumo to try to intercept Manchester United's favorite. Tottenham's offer was £65 million plus £5 million additional terms, which was a full £10 million higher than Manchester United's offer.

Tottenham new coach Thomas Frank hopes to bring 25-year-old Mbeumo to North London. Tottenham chairman Daniel Levi also hopes to use the Cameroon international as a gift to Thomas Frank coaching the team. But Mbeumo himself is still more inclined to join Manchester United, and he has scored 20 Premier League goals for Brentford in the past season.

Frank hopes to use the prospect of reunion with Mbeumo and the opportunity to participate in the Champions League to attract him to Tottenham. The Danish coach has been working with Mbeumo since joining Brentford from Troye in 2019. United have made two offers for Mbeumo, most recently last week, worth £60 million, which includes a fixed amount of £55 million plus an additional clause of £5 million. Brentford refused to accept the offer, which provided Spurs with a potentially decisive offer opportunity.

It seems that Manchester United is unlikely to pay Mbeumo a higher transfer fee than Brazilian striker Cunha (£60 million). Although things may change, Brentford believes they have the right to stick to a £70 million valuation of Mbeumo, who scored only last season after Salah, Isaac and Haaland. Mbeumo's seven assists also helped the team enter the first half of the Premier League.

Although Manchester United's offer is lower than Tottenham, it does not mean they will lose Mbeumo. Manchester United is a big advantage in salary. Old Trafford offers a weekly salary of between £150,000 and £175,000, plus bonuses, Mbeumo's expected income will reach £200,000 per week. Tottenham will have to break their strict salary structure if they want to match this treatment, and Mbeumo expects to earn between £130,000 and £140,000 per week at Tottenham. Even with the bonus, it is still lower than what he can earn at Manchester United.

Mbeumo's contract has one year left, and there is an option for an additional year. But Brentford has accepted the fact that Mbeumo's time with the team is over and ready to leave at any time. Now it’s time to test Brentford, are they insisting on choosing to choose a higher offer from Tottenham? Or should I satisfy Mbeumo's personal wishes and let him go to Manchester United?
