October 30th: Former German international Grosskreutz recently rekindled his enthusiasm for playing on the green field. He signed a contract with the German seventh-level league team TuS Echlinghofen.
Groskreutz completed the signing last week. He has signed a contract with TuS Eichlinghoven until 2027 and will officially start the game after the start of the second half of the season. TuS Echlinghofen is a regional team from the southwest of Dortmund.
After ending his career in 2021, the 37-year-old Grosskreutz has played in many low-level amateur teams. His last stop was the sixth-level league team WackerObercastrop: he joined in the summer of 2023, and served as an assistant coach from October 2024, and became the head coach from May 2025, but he resigned in September.
