On July 15, Spurs core star Wenban Yama announced in a recent interview that his deep vein thrombosis in his right shoulder has completely recovered and was allowed to return to the court; Wenban Yama also expressed her loyalty and bluntly said that she wanted to play for the Spurs' first team throughout her career.

Recently, I was interviewed by French newspaper Maxime Aubin in Las Vegas. Wenbanyama revealed that his deep vein thrombosis in his right shoulder had recovered. Wenban said: I have been allowed to return (the court). That's how it happened - just a few hours ago (last Saturday), the Spurs doctor gave me the green light. I can finally play basketball for a while!

On February 21 this year, the Spurs officially announced that Vanban Yama was reimbursed for a deep vein thrombosis in the right shoulder. Now, after more than four months, Vanban Yama's venous thrombosis has finally recovered completely. He is expected to return to the NBA with a stronger posture in the new season.

Wenban Yama also expressed his loyalty and frankness to say that he wanted to live the Spurs. He said: I know not every player in the NBA has the same ambitions, but my dream is obviously to play for the same team throughout his career, right here, in San Antonio (Spurs).
Asked whether the Spurs should bring in a star player with all their might this summer, Wenban Yama said: It rarely works if they split up young cores for a star. I hope the Spurs are a balanced team, and they were experts in this past.

During this offseason, Wenban Yama started a 16-day tour in China. During this period, Wenban was ordained at Shaolin Temple in Songshan, Henan for 10 days to practice martial arts. He not only practiced boxing and legs with the monks, but also practiced stick techniques. Each move was quite stylish, and such a series of actions attracted fans.
In the 2024-25 season, Wenban Yama played only 46 games for the Spurs due to early reimbursement, and averaged 24.3 points, 11 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.1 steals and 3.8 blocks per game. Although he missed the DPOY, Wenban won the block king again (according to the Rondo clause, players who participated in less than 58 games need to divide the total data by 58 games, Wenban ranked first in the league by blocks per game as high as 3.03 times).
Wenban is only 21 years old. Since he entered the NBA as the No. 1 pick, he has won the blocking champion for two consecutive years. As long as he can stay healthy, Wenban will continue to dominate the blocking champion honors in the future, and is expected to win the defensive player of the year many times.
