Jaxson Hayes has agreed to renew the Lakers with a one-year minimum salary contract. This is also the third one-year contract signed by Hayes with the Lakers, and he will automatically obtain a trade veto.
According to the latest NBA rules, for any player who has signed three or more contracts in a row with the team, each of his contracts will have a trade veto. Next season, there will be three NBA players with trade veto power, namely James and Hayes of the Lakers, and Bill of the Suns.
