Does anyone still remember Solomon Hill? A shooter-shaped wing 3D player focused on receiving and shooting.
Solomon Hill, Solomon Hill, 6-foot-7 (201 cm), plays as a small forward (SF). She was born in Los Angeles, California, USA in March 1991, produced by the University of Arizona. She was selected by the Indiana Pacers to enter the NBA with the 23rd pick in the first round of the 2013 NBA Draft. In his 9-season NBA career, Solomon Hill has played for five teams, including the Pacers (2013-2016), Pelicans (2016-2019), Grizzlies (2019-2020.2), Heat (2020.2-2020.11), and Hawks (2020.11-2022.1). He played in a total of 448 games in the regular season, including 189 starts, averaging 21.5 minutes per game, scoring 5.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.2 blocks. He played in a total of 38 games in the playoffs, including 3 starts, averaging 13.2 minutes per game, scoring 3.1 points, 1.9 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.2 blocks.
As a 3D player, Solomon Hill is a good three-point shooter and has the ability to hit key three-pointers at critical moments. He has a tough defense and can use his strong body and positive defensive attitude to oppress his opponent. He also has a flexible defensive position and can defend multiple positions. He is a "pie-goods" in the team's defense. In addition, he has excellent misalignment ability. When facing big players, he can use his skillful ball control skills, cross steps and hesitation steps to score. After bringing the defender to a low post, he can also use his footsteps and flexibility to score. However, his ball-holding ability is limited, his ball-holding ability is insufficient, his offensive method is relatively single, and his offensive stability is insufficient. The overall offensive performance on the field has fluctuated greatly, making it difficult to contribute to the team continuously and stably.
Although there are no beautiful average numbers in the NBA career, Solomon Hill also has some outstanding highlights. On November 15, 2014, local time in the US, in the game where the Indiana Pacers defeated the Chicago Bulls 99:90 away, Solomon Hill started for 33 minutes, scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal, of which 12 rebounds set his NBA career single-game rebounding record. On April 10, 2016, local time, in the Indiana Pacers' 129:105 home victory over the Brooklyn Nets, Solomon Hill played for 32 minutes on the bench, scoring 13 points, 3 assists and 2 steals, and tying the 12 rebounds in a single game in NBA career. On March 17, 2017, in the New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Houston Rockets 128:112 at home, Solomon Hill started for 38 minutes, making 8 of 13 shots (including 6 of 9 three-pointers), and 8 of 9 free throws, scoring the highest single-game 30 points and 7 assists in his NBA career, plus 6 rebounds and 1 steal.
In January 2022, Solomon Hill traded from the Hawks to the Knicks and was immediately cut. Since then, he gradually faded out of the NBA and went overseas to compete. In the 2024-2025 season, he joined the CBA Beijing team. In early June 2025, Solomon Hill signed with the Parisian Beirut Club.
