Famous mouth: It is said that James knows Doncic is the future of the Lakers, and he will announce this is his last season

Fox TV's well-known commentator Colin Cowherd listed all the reasons why James may announce his retirement this season's offseason in the latest episode of The Herd.

Although everything is not yet confirmed, Cowherd seems to believe that the time for James to retire is ripe.

"I do believe in something, though," Cowherd said. "There was an article Thursday saying that NBA insiders believed LeBron would announce his retirement after the 2025 season. It might not be a year later. He might announce that it will be his last season, and I do believe that."

"It's obvious that the Lakers think that Luca Doncic is the future of the team. LeBron knows that. Luca knows that. Everyone on the team knows that." Cowherd said.

In addition to contract status and age, Cowherd also made several arguments about the possible reasons why James ended his career. He said that Lakers’ new owner Mark Walter (also owned by the Los Angeles Dodgers) had a history of giving up on their players after their peak period.
